Italian Conversation: Current Affairs, Art & Culture

A four week summer course starting in June 2025, aimed at learners from Intermediate to Advanced (minimum 240 hours/3-4 years prior study or equivalent), European framework levels B1/B2 to C1, who would like to practice or brush up their conversational skills in Italian and widen their vocabulary range.
Each lesson will be conducted mainly in Italian and will focus on a different topic, giving learners the opportunity to exchange views and practice their Italian in a supportive virtual environment. The focus will be on speaking, but some reading, listening and writing will also be included. Grammar will be reviewed on an ad hoc basis according to need and within the context of each topic.
Each class will last 90 minutes and will be conducted on Zoom, with materials for each week emailed in advance. A small amount of homework will be assigned each week to reinforce learning.

Once the minimum number of learners interested has been reached, you will be contacted in mid May for confirmation and with payment details. Please be aware that your place on the course will only be secure once payment has been received – at the latest by 2 weeks prior to the start date. One week before the start date you will receive the Zoom link and the materials for the first class.
