Throughout my career, I have consistently updated my skills on an annual basis by attending staff development workshops in the institutions where I teach covering all aspects of language teaching to adults, from differentiation to e-learning techniques, as well as regularly attending the cultural events & Italian teachers’ training days organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in London, of which I am a member. I also regularly attend Edexcel workshops for updates and changes in the specifications for A Level Italian, when these occur.
I have regularly achieved consistently good reports over the years during class observations by my Subject Managers. In 2010-11 and 2011-12 I obtained a Grade 1 (outstanding) in a classroom observation by my Programme Manager.
As an AQA examiner for the GCSE written coursework exams, I have repeatedly achieved the top grade of ‘A’ (consistently excellent) for my performance over 14 years of examining. In both 2017 and 2019 I received an Award for longstanding services to examining by the Joint Council for Qualifications.
I have a very good record of achievement for students studying on my courses and undertaking GCSE examinations over the years, all of whom have routinely achieved the highest grades of A and A*. Equally, my AS/A2 students have also obtained the highest grades throughout the year.
